About me

About me

Hi, I’m Lukas, born in June 1993 and originally from near Stuttgart. In 2021, I had no choice but to move to Berlin to study Interface Design. At least that’s what I tell myself when people bring up the classic Swabian in Berlin cliché. But jokes aside, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made because it gave me the space to grow, specialize and finally focus on what I truly enjoy: designing digital products that are clear, useful and thoughtfully made.

I’ve always been drawn to design in all its forms, from digital interfaces to architecture and interior spaces. That curiosity eventually led me to the point where I didn’t just want to execute ideas anymore, I wanted to shape them. So I began studying Interface Design in 2020. During that time, I was able to deepen my skills, sharpen my eye and figure out what kind of designer I want to be.

What I love most is designing user interfaces, whether that means working within existing design systems or building new ones from the ground up. I enjoy focusing on the details: typography, rhythm, spacing and interaction. Platform guidelines, especially Apple’s HIG, are not restrictions to me. They are a creative framework I like to work within. Creating something new that still feels familiar is one of the most rewarding challenges in this field.

My goal is to design interfaces that are helpful, functional and visually clear so people can focus on what they want to do, not how to do it.

Maybe even in collaboration with you?
